I have been raising Saint Bernard’s since 2004. Yes, not a very long time and it has been an on the job training type of experience. My reason for raising Saint Bernard puppies is three-fold. 1.) I would like to make a living raising Saint Bernard’s, by doing my best to produce healthy and well-adjusted pups. 2.) There are few things I love more than a Saint Bernard puppy. As much as I love my adult dogs, there is something about cuddling a little Saint Bernard puppy just a few weeks old. 3.) It’s a great way to spend my time.
My reason for telling you this is simple. As much as I am in this for the money, I would much rather raise a puppy myself, than placing her/him with someone that is incapable or unwilling of furnishing the emotional, medical, and financial needs that not only a puppy, but the subsequent dog will have. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ONE OF MY PUPPIES IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO PROVIDE THEM WITH THE PROPER ENVIRONMENT THAT THEY NOT ONLY NEED, BUT MORE IMPORTANT, DESERVE. A dog is a long-time commitment and the decision of getting a puppy should be a well thought out process. I am a man of few words, but it is very important to me that you realize, there is nothing more important to me than the well being of my pups, which I consider to be my babies and they never stop being just that.
